BioFibreLoop: Recyclable textiles for outdoor, active and workwear
BioFibreLoop is working to make the EU textile industry more sustainable, with a focus on outdoor, active and workwear. The project develops recyclable textiles with bio-inspired functionalisation, produced from bio-based materials, offering a complementary path toward circular, high-performance fabrics for demanding end uses.
pHYBi: Phytomanagement for a bio-based textile industry
pHYBi is funded by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and runs from October 2024 to September 2028. The project combines the phytoremediation of polluted soils with the valorisation of lignocellulosic biomass, contributing to both soil health and a bio-based circular textile industry, an approach that echoes HALO-TEX's own work in turning challenging land into a resource for sustainable materials.
